An Imaginative Movie Guide

When I think about all the movies to come (Hello, summer blockbusters!), I’m reminded of the philosophy held by Albert Einstein, who believed, “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” Attracting moviegoers this weekend is an imaginative group of films competing for our ticket-buying attention. There’s animation and exorcisms as well as drama of the criminal kind strictly geared toward the over 21 crowd.

The Sweeney shows up to take down John McClane in A Good Day to Die Hard while Jack the Giant Slayer is hoping to obliterate the opposition then Escape From Planet Earth with the top box office spot. The 21 and Over guys think the Identity Thief should take her fake persona on an extended leave while the folks participating in the Last Exorcism (Part II) want to get rid of malevolent forces and their creative competition. Stoker, meanwhile, is just plain stoked to be a part of the fun!

In the mood for family-friendly or just-plain frightening? Looking to escape the planet or into someone else’s life? G-rated, PG or strictly over 21?

Why not let your imagination be your (movie) guide?

From seaside days to starry nights, may innovative minds and stars of all kinds inspire and guide you this weekend…
