“To the Wonder” of no one in particular, this upcoming weekend at the movies is shaping up to be a memorable one; thanks in part to recent Oscar winner Ben Affleck who, along with the lovely Olga Kurylenko and Rachel McAdams, is involved in a spellbinding love triangle that travels all the way from Europe to the United States. On American soil, we find Harrison Ford also contributing to the movie theatrics this week while offering “42” reasons to see his latest flick profiling the dramatic life of baseball legend Jackie Robinson.
Because theaters don’t exist on drama along, also opening is “Scary Movie V,” featuring Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan (a match made in dysfunctional Heaven). As a balance to all the aforementioned heavy lifting our other new releases are doing, the light American spoof series (hopefully) proves humor mixes well with horror. Does tossing in a bit of song and dance on the biggest platform set the stage for box-office success?
Will Sheen shine on the big screen brighter than heavy hitter Harrison? Is Ben Affleck too busy polishing his well-deserved Oscar to pay attention to box-office results? Most importantly, who will be the biggest scene stealer this weekend?
Scene after scene, our movie landscape, along with colorful spring days and star-filled nights, continues to provide the most panoramic view!
