Speeding Toward Summer

Can sci-fi movie lovers rebound “After Earth” is destroyed and box office numbers are dismal? Will “The Internship” find a place in the field of movies? The “Fast & Furious 6” crew are speeding along at a record-breaking pace, passing the earthbound and cruising above the “Star Trek Into Darkness” while feeling lightheaded among “The Hangover III” gang. Who will reach the fantastic finish line first this weekend? Tricky performers with more than magic on their minds declare “Now You See Me” in an effort to captivate and capture an enchanting spot at the box office as animation utilizes the most colorful imaginations. Our late spring characters are doing their entertaining best, paving the way for sensational films more satisfying than a day at the beach (with no sunscreen required).
Working our way toward our summer “moviecation,” we’re treated to con men and car chasers colliding with inept interns training for their own version of stardom. Clearly, they’ve got their work cut out for them! We can expect animation to continually add shade to our supersized screens in the coming months and comedy to be the ultimate party crasher.
From seaside days to starry nights, our weekend finds our favorite characters cruising toward summer and colossal entertainment (with the “Man of Steel” patiently waiting in the wings to rescue movie lovers from audience members who forget to turn off their cell phones during the coming attractions)…
