The Movie Man of the Hour

The “Man of Steel” is the man of the hour, celebrating his 75th anniversary while making the world safe for moviegoers everywhere (and remaining amazingly youthful and agile). He is quick, in all his steely magnitude, to point out “This is the End” of dangerous viewing habits, promising nothing but quality films and blue skies on the big screen (along with action, adventure, animation and comedy). While “Iron Man III” was the brave idol who ruled the month of May, the month of June is all about the man in blue, who wisely concludes that many (imaginary) heroes are needed to protect our movie universe from insipid characters and uninspired stories. His time has finally come.
Dedicated movie aficionados cannot survive on calamity alone (unless it involves Brad Pitt declaring “World War Z” on infectious cadavers) and crave comedy on a lighthearted, almost summer day. Hopefully, the party that consists of James Franco, Seth Rogen and depraved crew can lighten the heavy, action-oriented load this coming weekend.
Looking for parties or peril? Steel force or decadent sin? Sink into the coziest multiplex this weekend to find a superior cure for what ails you (if what ails you is inferior films)…
