Weapons, Wahlberg and a Wolverine Weekend

With “2 Guns” loaded, Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington clobbered their animated, as well as action-packed competition this weekend at the domestic box office, coming in at #1 with $27.3 drug-busting million. Last week’s top dog, “The Wolverine,” politely stepped down to the #2 spot with $21.7 million. The CG, live-action sequel “Smurfs 2” showed up early, with competition-clobbering also on their colorful minds, arriving at the #3 spot with $18.2 million. “The Conjuring” found terror and trickery of the ghostly kind at the scare-free land of #4 with $13.6 million. Our favorite yellow minions could be heard shouting “Despicable Me 2” to come in behind all those less despicable guys at #5 with $10.4 million.
Visions of blue and yellow filled the big screen along with ghosts and guns; weapons were on profitable display when the wolverine came out to prey, sequels continued to play on; horror heard the call and an all-around hot weekend was had by all!
From seaside days to starry nights, the week ahead promises characters of all colors and entertainment for all ages…
