The Counselor Battles Carrie and the Captain

This weekend finds “Captain Phillips” and “Carrie,” our odd-choice for host and hostess in the home of all things movies, graciously welcoming “The Counselor” to the cinematic stage, hoping he can bring his own compelling form of law and order (while looking the other way where our misguided, telekinetic teenager is concerned). Perhaps the threesome can form the ultimate “Escape Plan” for our favorite astronauts stuck in space, still contemplating the “Gravity” of their successful situation. When will they become ordinary, earthbound folks? Our cinematic security may need to keep tabs on the “Jackass: (portraying an old but nevertheless) Bad Grandpa” looking to wreak any havoc that creepy “Carrie” may have missed. Our animated friends are still successfully floating beneath skies that remain “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” enormous to be missed. Are sunny skies, free from falling fare, in their hazy future?
Life in the land of movies may be cloudy but it’s always colorful, despite throwing in the occasional psycho to the mix to give our heroes and heroines something to do, while upholding the entertainment law (which requires our “legal staff” to maintain magnificent Hollywood looks).
Things are looking good within our movie theaters this weekend, with even the most “cosmetically challenge” characters drawing all kinds of big-screen attention!
