Entertainment Law

“Across the sea of space, the stars are other suns.” Carl Sagan
Will “Gravity” continue to fill the #1 space in our movie universe for a fourth weekend? What about “Captain Phillips,” who heroically traveled across the sea to find the brightest Hollywood stars? Perhaps the sun will shine upon “The Counselor,” who is primed to do cinematic battle with astronauts, animated creatures and old-time action heroes. “Carrie,” meanwhile, is tragically and telekinetically attempting to hold her own entertaining version of court, one in which she is the ONLY star (or else). The sun has ironically been shining through the “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” tall and tempting to be contained. Is this the weekend darkness falls on our favorite animated friends?
Our eclectic characters careen through space, devising an “Escape Plan” from a “Bad Grandpa,” insipid scripts and inferior films only to discover THE place to be is their local multiplex (where they are happily appearing on our superior screens).
From seaside days to starry nights, may your weekend be filled with sun and stars and hold more entertainment than the Hollywood law allows…
