Faultless Movie Moments

Followers of love-doomed-too-soon expressed nothing but praise for “The Fault in our Stars” this weekend from the flawless #1 spot at the star-studded domestic box office with $48.2 million. “Maleficent” woke up Sleeping Beauty and fantasy-driven fans at the #2 spot with $34 million. The “Edge of Tomorrow” brought edgy results to that Hollywood database yesterday (with a hopefully better tomorrow) as the Tom Cruise alien adventure landed on the brink of #3 with $29.1 million. The “X-Men: Days of Future Past” spent modern moments at the #4 area with $15.3 million. Western comedy has yet to make a killing but discovered “A Million Ways to Die in the West” from the location of #5 with $7.2 million.
An extraterrestrial action flick battled it out with a Disney dream while a bestselling adaptation received the biggest, albeit teariest, teen-appealing audience. There were a million ways to calculate all the entertainment found in every region this weekend, as a western tale continued to head south and aliens and mutants worked overtime to hold onto their audience.
Our present movie days promise to lead us through a summer filled with the starriest tomorrows.
What star will you be following tomorrow?
