Lather, Rinse, Movie Repeat

After once again capturing the highest crown at the domestic box office this weekend with $10.2 million, what’s left for everyone’s favorite “Guardians of the Galaxy” to do? Perhaps they can hang out (and exchange hero tips) with the protectors-in-their-own right, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” who kept a protective eye on their audience from the #2 place with $6.5 million. Together, maybe they can cheer up the moviegoers who took in all that teenage angst and asked, “If I Stay” until the movie’s conclusion, will I be satisfied with the ending from the satisfactory set of #3 with $5.8 million. The phony comedy act who’ve been shouting, “Let’s Be Cops” took over the authentic area known as #4 with $5.4 million. “The November Man” found a September crowd of sorts waiting at the seasonal side of #5 with $4.2 million.
Most of this weekend’s top five looked oddly familiar, as teenagers in unique form, galaxy hoppers, terror groupies and popular posers once again found the biggest crowds. As summer turns slowly to fall, signs of November are suddenly appearing, leaving audiences looking above, below and everywhere in between for the hottest entertainment.
What cool tale are you most looking forward to “FALLing” into?
