Movie Deeds

Greek philosopher Democritus once said, “Our sins are more easily remembered than our good deeds.” How does that translate to the world of storytelling? Do sinful tales leave a stronger, more memorable mark in our minds than goodness and light fare? Will “No Good Deed” be rewarded this weekend in nationwide movie theaters, sending the so-good “Guardians of the Galaxy” on a tour of the solar system beyond the special, celestial stars? Will the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” be riding off into that ageless sunset anytime soon? New in the neighborhood, a “Dolphin Tale 2” promises the next installment will contain seaworthy, kindly acts and family-friendly entertainment. Will their tale pale in comparison to the comedic pretense taking place in the guise of those muttering “Let’s Be Cops?” And just how much success can “The November Man” expect to have in September?
Wondering “If I Stay” through this slow movie season, will movie memories be made by the end of the month?
Whether sinful or solid, good or grotesque, there’s a most memorable story just waiting to be told at your local movie theater…
