A Movie Weekend fit for a King

“Exodus: Gods and Kings” came to play this weekend, conquering the rest of the competition from the #1 spot at the domestic box office with $24.5 million. Following three weeks as the biggest ruler, “Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” graciously took a step down to the #2 place with $13.2 million. “Penguins of Madagascar” entertained little moviegoers from the #3 area with $7.3 million. Despite a somewhat limited release, Chris Rock managed to make the “Top Five,” bringing his story to the #4 position with $7.2 million. Our “Big Hero 6” was making it big at the #5 corner with $6.1 million.

Games galore, Gods and Kings (and a little bit of everything) graced our movie screens this weekend.  The biggest hero made the best of friends with the littlest of animated animals while Biblical beings and a Rock revival provided welcomed additions.

Which tale ruled your movie kingdom this weekend?
