An All-American Showstopper

Our all-“American Sniper” continued to clobber his less patriotic competition this weekend, landing at the top spot at the domestic box office once again with $31.8 million. Sweet “Paddington” was feeling the familial love from the #2 place with $8.51 million. Teens constructing their own time machine in “Project Almanac” found themselves at the timeless land of #3 with $8.5 million. Kevin Costner fans were finding value in the “Black or White” world they visited at the ironically colorful #4 spot with $6.4 million. “The Boy Next Door” made himself at home at the friendly #5 position with $6 million.

As a sniper continued to slay, a time-sensitive project was underway with the coolest characters on board. A talking bear led the way (as well as the conversation), while the neighborly kid and the custody battlers all had their cinematic say.

Which of our showstoppers had the most to say to you this weekend?
