Jupiter Ascends. Who will Descend at the Box Office?

The first week in February promises to  be filled with the most creative characters, all vying for that coveted top spot at the box office. We all know what the “American Sniper” is capable of, but does he have what it takes to “kill” the competition indefinitely? Who will be the first to take him out? Maybe the “Seventh Son” will, ironically, be number one? After a long postponement, will “Jupiter Ascending” manage to rise above her worthy adversaries her first weekend out to play in an out-of-this-world environment? Can “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water,” in all its water-soaked innocence, send sweet “Paddington” packing? Might “The Boy Next Door,” nefarious schoolboy that he is, be kicked out of the box-office club due to poor attendance? Maybe he needs to check out the timeless lessons held within “Project Almanac” that state, “thou shalt not have affairs with older (yet strangely ageless) recently-divorce women.” The folks battling in the “Black or White” reality could learn a valuable lesson on family values while “The Wedding Ringer” clearly needs to be schooled in the business of proper movie etiquette, including when to exit the party gracefully.

Happily, all of our (questionably) graceful characters came to the cinematic party to enlighten, entertain, and, of course, engage in various acts of movie (mis)conduct.

Which of our stars will conduct themselves in the most engaging manner this weekend?

Check back on Sunday!!
