Cold Days, Hot Entertainment

“Fifty Shades of Grey” continued to bring in countless romantics this weekend at the movies, coming in first at the domestic box office once again with $23.2 million. The “Kingsman: The Secret Service” was offering the best enigmatic type of service from the #2 position with $17.5 million. “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge out of Water” was catering to its little movie lovers from the animated arena known as #3 with $15.5 million. The inspirational Disney drama, “McFarland, USA” found a sunny spot at #4 with $11.3 million. Teen comedy “The DUFF” surprisingly outdid the rest of the movie pack, rounding out the top five with $11 million.

Troubled souls, secretive but silly servicemen, sports, spoiled teens, and everyone’s favorite square-panted sponge made for an eclectic crew, indeed, hanging out at our movie theaters and offering the coolest times during the frostiest of seasons.

Which of our cool characters made for the warmest company this cold weekend?
