The cinematic “Focus” was on crime this weekend, as audiences directed their focus to the Will Smith flick, causing it to head straight in the direction of the top spot at the domestic box office with $19.1 million. Spy extraordinaire “Kingsman: The Secret Service” was telling the strangest secrets at the #2 position with $11.8 million. Colorful animation in the form of “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water” aimed to please from the #3 place with $11.2 million. Former champ “Fifty Shades of Grey” found the neighborhood of #4 quite colorful with $10.9 million. Horror lovers were feeling “The Lazarus Effect” from the land of the living, a.k.a. #5 with $10.6 million.

Crime and corruption captured the focal point at movie theaters this weekend, a Kingsman got the royal treatment, a billionaire and Bob were playing nice while the undead were treated with the utmost respect.
