It was a weekend worth Marveling at the movies, as the Avengers: Age of Ultron easily dominated the box office (garnering the second highest domestic opening in history) while those infamous superheroes battled the bad guys. The aforementioned superheroes caught a far-off glimpse of the Furious 7 crew in their rear view mirror, still speeding along nicely on that action-packed road. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 was doing his best to keep the streets safe (in his own comedic way). Romantics not interested in road rage took in The Age of Adaline, experiencing the make-believe world in her timeless era. Home continues to be the place to go, no matter what age we’re living in, as colorful creatures made friends with the bold, the brave and the just plain bad on the big screen.
As sequels continued to prove what’s old is new again (in the most innovative form), audiences found a place to call Home at their local movie theater, where the accommodations are always cozy and there’s enough entertainment for moviegoers of all ages…
Domestic Box Office Estimates:
- Avengers: Age of Ultron $187.7 million.
- Age of Adeline $6.3 million.
- Furious 7 $6.1 million.
- Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 $5.4 million.
- Home $3.3 million.
