Mom’s Movie Weekend

It was the mother of all movie weekends, as moms (and less-maternal beings) treated themselves to a scorching cinematic experience. Moms hung up on the hero type continued to be quite taken with Tony Stark and his Avengers: Age of Ultron, (as long as they weren’t required to give their actual ages) sending the vengeance seekers once again to that ultimate box-office locale. Girl power was in rare comedic form, following far behind in Hot Pursuit of those ageless avengers. Our Furious 7 friends were hot on their high heels, traveling the movie circuit at a most respectable speed (given the length of time they’ve been on the cinematic road). Farther down that storied block, The Age of Adeline was showing little sign of growing old as her beauty (and fan base) continued to gracefully increase during her long lifetime. The aging but oh-so-graceful Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 was keeping the cinema streets safe for moms and their movie-loving loved ones.

In the pursuit of action, ageless romance and adventures of the comedic kind, all of our characters were happily feeling the love this hot spring weekend.

Which of our tales did you love the most?

Estimated Box Office Results:

  1. Avengers: Age of Ultron $77.2 million.
  2. Hot Pursuit $13.3 million.
  3. The Age of Adaline $5.6 million.
  4. Furious 7 $5.2 million.
  5. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 $5.1 million.
