Ready for a magical movie weekend? Do you prefer exotic dancing over emotional outbursts? Girl power over good-at-being-bad boys? The oh-so-good Magic Mike XXL has arrived to entertain the musically inclined just as the too-tough-for-performance-art Terminator Genisys joins the movie ranks to level the male playing field. The Jurassic World, however, is open to all genders, particularly the fossil-friendly kind. Will they continue to stomp out the rest of the competition? Our more youthful, non-competitive audience, meanwhile, continues to experience a myriad of emotions Inside Out, ecstatic that school’s out for the summer while sad that the season goes by so darn fast! Ted 2 is thrilled it’s summer (any excuse for a party) and pledges to be best friends with all characters, reel and stuffed. Our favorite female Spy is ready to take on the boys and the bullies (the deadly dinosaur kind) while sweet Max is just glad to be out of the war zone and into a warm cinematic community.
The friendliest battle is occurring at your local movie theater, where the temperature is always just right, the holiday traffic is at a minimum and the characters promise to supply the best that summer has to offer: cool stars complete with a picturesque view (without the glare of aging natural sunlight and unattractive tan lines).
What will your big-screen view be this long, holiday weekend?
