The Rogue Nation Continues to Rule

Did you have the most Fantastic time at the movies this weekend? Those youthful Fantastic Four sadly did not have as awesome a time as intended, as their superpowers were not super enough to rule the box office, leaving the alternate movie universe open for the Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation to once again take the lead. Following all that high-octane action, a relaxing Vacation was most certainly in order, although not achieved for those troublesome Griswolds, whose road trip down memory lane hit a number of nasty potholes. The troubled Ant-Man was still around, assisting moviegoers indecisive about which movie route to follow (using his tiny stature to rise above those storytelling roadies). The sounds of a cinematic summer filled the air, while a long-held secret brought The Gift, of sorts, entertainingly stopping thrill seekers in their tracks.

Which of our showstoppers caused you to pause this weekend?

Estimated Domestic Box Office Results:

  1. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation $29.4 million.
  2. Fantastic Four $26.2 million.
  3. The Gift $12 million.
  4. Vacation $9.1 million
  5. Ant-Man $7.8 million.
