All of the cinematic news fit to print came Straight Outta Compton this weekend, as youthful energy, and questionable music in the form of gangster rap, emitted straight outta big screens nationwide, causing the biggest (and loudest) stir at the box office. Although musically-challenged, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. solved a bit of the mystery surrounding successful movies (escapist entertainment, snacks included) as he led the movie community on a grand, nostalgia-inspiring adventure. Along for that adventurous ride were the citizens of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, who were busy spreading the word, to anyone who would listen, that Tom Cruise can still pack a movie theater. The sadly-less popular Fantastic Four found little safety in numbers as they continued to search for larger, Marvel-loving crowds. Luckily, The Gift of priceless entertainment has never been easier to find (thank you, IMAX).
