The Movie Invasion

The Martian received the warmest welcome during his return trip back to Earth this weekend, bringing together all forms of (movie-loving) extraterrestrial life. Questionable characters invaded Hotel Transylvania 2, adding their blend of darkness and color to the movie community. Darkness fell on the Sicario crew, who offered their audience more action than the (storytelling) law allows. Possessing his own colorful-but-legal language, The Intern managed to keep his job as a hardworking, elite member of the Box Office Top 5 while Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials lost a bit of steam as the days of his maze-infused trial lingered on.

Remarkably, alienation and animation collided, workers united, a runner started to run out of heat while the FBI folks made for worthy adversaries, challenging their counterparts to keep reaching for the stars…

Which of our stars reached you this weekend?

Estimated Domestic Box Office Results:

  1. The Martian $55 million.
  2. Hotel Transylvania 2 $33 million.
  3. Sicario $12.08 million.
  4. The Intern $11.62million.
  5. Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials $7.65 million.
