Bond is Back in Box-Office Business

The holiday season has officially begun, leaving A Spectre of magnetic proportion surrounding our vast movie universe this weekend, as legendary James Bond kicked our reigning champ, The Martian to the earthbound curb. Don’t feel too sorry for him, though, as his box-office experience has left him a wise, more successful land dweller. The Charles Schultz legends-in-their-own-right cast of The Peanuts Movie packed in the youthful crowd as well as their nostalgic parents, who found Charlie Brown and company as clever and colorful as ever. Despite the fact that Halloween has come and gone, moviegoers were still happily experiencing Goosebumps as a Bridge of Spies once again connected Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg in the most politically correct way.

Audiences connected with old friends and remembered cherished childhood pals, a man-made martian started to make his descent from successful outer space, Spies abounded and things that go bump in the night continued to offer the most imaginative frights!

Which of our cool, colorful characters made for the best of movie friends for you this weekend?

Estimated Domestic Box Office Results:

  1. Spectre $73 million.
  2. The Peanuts Movie $45 million.
  3. The Martian $9.3 million.
  4. Goosebumps $6.97 million.
  5. Bridge of Spies $6.09 million.

Until next (movie) time! Meg:)
