So many emotions were experienced this weekend at the movies! Revenge rivaled soothing starry skies; hate turned profitably to movie love, home remained where the familial heart is and terror took its turn at offering edge-of-your-seat entertainment.
Longtime fans with feet planted firmly on the ground reached toward the cinematic skies and found Star Wars: The Force Awakens still offered the grandest view. The Revenant found significance on the treacherous movie trail, leading star Leonardo DiCaprio through the cruel, based-on-actual-events 1800s to modern day movie theaters. Within a far-less cruel locale, Daddy’s Home continued to receive a happy, homespun reception in the blended dysfunctional family category. Horror, meanwhile, found a creepy home in The Forest far removed from where everyone’s favorite Sisters were still throwing one wild party.
Star Wars remained high in our movie skies, revenge was all the rage and comedy was the cure for hate and horror ( which was strangely blended to creepy perfection).
Which of our tales earned your love this weekend?
