A Panda Kicks Cinematic Butt

Kung Fu Panda 3 made the grandest, most colorful debut in movie theaters coast to coast this weekend, kicking his less cuddly competition to the curb (in a cute, computer-animated way, of course). Once-forgotten The Revenant continued on his memorable trail, making new friends in high places (i.e. audience members) on his way to his hard-won Academy Award-winning appearance. The sun appeared to be ever-so-slowly setting on Star Wars: The Force Awakens but, now worries, it is guaranteed to rise again on the Big Screen (think December 2017). Taking on the tallest waves, The Finest Hour (which took approximately one hour and forty five minutes to tell) offered a fine bit of watery peril. The Ride Along 2 picked up more passengers on that rocky road of entertainment.

DreamWorks delivered the goods, a very determined Leonardo DiCaprio was on a murderous mission, well ahead of the Coast Guard, who ironically were on a mission to save lives. Those soul-saving Stars once again set one magnificent stage, with a bit of humor traveling along that starry path.

Which of our stars set the most entertaining stage for you this weekend?
