The Zoo Remains the Place to Be

Zootopia continued to fill its audience with the biggest utopian feeling, uniting animals and animated lovers alike. Lovers steered clear of 10 Cloverfield Lane (the sequel-with-spirit to 2008’s Cloverfield), where visitors struggled to survive their neighborhood’s version of the Apocalypse, with nary a lucky clover in sight. London Has Fallen a bit since its debut but remains standing in high company. Deadpool, meanwhile, remained high on life (and psyched for his inevitable sequel). Audiences were once again whistling a war-inspiring tune while watching Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

A computer-animated gem sparkled the brightest this weekend, an ironically clover less lane saw its share of guests; the dead continue to kill, London continued to fall and war proved to be a bit more comedic than catastrophic.

Which of our clever, calamitous gems shined the brightest for you this weekend?

Estimated Domestic Box Office Results:

  1. Zootopia $51.2 million.
  2. 10 Cloverfield Lane $25 million.
  3. Deadpool $10.7 million.
  4. London Has Fallen $10.5 million.
  5. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot $4.5 million.
