“Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.” Mark Twain
Audiences visited both Heaven and Hell this weekend at the movies, where good stories battled evil beings (i.e. lowly box-office spots) and found the climate just right and the company, well, both questionable and compelling. Those living in the Zootopia nation once again occupied the biggest cinematic space and found their accommodations colorful and cozy. Diverging to a different neighborhood, crowds were pledging their loyalty to The Divergent Series: Allegiant, sending our youthful audience on yet another science-fiction adventure. Miracles From Heaven offered audiences a sweet glimpse (despite the debilitating illness) of heaven on earth. Within our earthly movie theaters, the path leading to 10 Cloverfield Lane proved to be more horrific than homey. Deadpool, meanwhile, was still entertaining, but hardly sweet or heaven-sent.
Heavenly tales and hellish horrors abounded this weekend, as movie lovers discovered miracles were clearly made for the big screen!
