Superheroes Unite

Move over, Easter Bunny, there’s a new hero in town! Actually, several heroes were needed to make this holiday weekend a real record breaker. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice found their justice on the big screen, ultimately, and to the surprise of no one, triumphing over the less superhero-type stories. Still super (but in a significantly less way), Zootopia filled movie theaters with the younger demographic quite nicely while those nice guests attending My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 were in proper, sequel attendance. Miracles From Heaven continued to break new faith-driven ground, providing vision for future spiritual endeavors while The Divergent Series: Allegiant tended to the spring-breaking teenage crowd still too young for frat parties.

It was a heroic-filled holiday weekend at the movies, with each of our stories offering a glimpse of heaven on earth to eager moviegoers.

Which of our “holy” heroes offered the greatest movie miracle for you this weekend?

Estimated Domestic Box Office Results:

  1. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice $170.10million.
  2. Zootopia $23.1 million.
  3. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 $18.1 million.
  4. Miracles From Heaven $9.5 million.
  5. The Divergent Series: Allegiant $9.5 million.
