“Everyone is necessarily the hero of his own life story.” John Barth
In the story of life, we meet your standard heroes and hellions, the average courageous guys (and girls) and, of course, the always-popular comedic gems, all traveling along the same broken path at various speeds. This weekend, naturally, was all about the hero, as Captain America: Civil War won the battle of the box office in a Big Way, at high velocity. Big in their own right, The Jungle Book was still entertaining all the cinematic creatures of the forest at its own profitable rate. Those fast-talking stars united, making Mother’s Day appropriately heartwarming and comedic. Finding little to smile about, The Huntsman: Winter’s War lost the box-office war to a timeless hero but still managed to stay in the game while Keanu was still charming his feline way into moviegoers’ hearts.
Where did your movie-loving heart lead you this weekend?
