The Captain Meets the Mutants Though the Looking Glass

With summer blockbusters on our scenic horizon, and a long holiday weekend before us, can that killer Captain America: Civil War continue to pulverize everyone (aside from our feather friends) who steps in his all-American path? Does the imminent arrival of the X-Men: Apocalypse indicate the end is near for 2016’s most fortunate heroes (so far?) Might that fortuitous path leading to the Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising lead to debauchery or darn-good fun? Will the audience for last week’s champion, The Angry Birds Movie have enough fun to inspire those bitter birds to lighten up? Perhaps a few animated friends coming to life within The Jungle Book will help to lighten their hostile load.

While they didn’t exactly finish last last weekend, The Nice Guys had some tough competition their first time out to play. Will all this rivalry bring darkness to their nice lives?

Last but not least, we can expect nice girl Alice Through the Looking Glass to reveal a far-out fantasy befitting Johnny Depp (and his odd assortment of friends).

It’s a weekend of apocalyptic, yet entertaining proportion! There are good guys, mutants, and Marvel men, rowdy neighbors and angry birds stealing the thunder of sweet jungle inhabitants. And, of course, nobody does Disney like Depp!

Oh, the stories waiting to be told! Life couldn’t be sweeter in our movie universe, where an imaginative Apocalypse is just the beginning of high-power entertainment.

Which of our powerful films will begin (or end) your memorable weekend?
