Horror has its Holiday

Horror lovers (and lovers of terrible teenagers getting their comeuppance) continued to shout, Don’t Breathe for fear of missing a critical moment during this long holiday weekend at the movies. Still keeping it real, as in real creepy, the Suicide Squad continued to make dastardly and deadly fun. Pete’s Dragon was enjoying a sweet comeback, celebrating the tallest of tales. Kubo and the Two Strings remained tied to their family-friendly audience (who preferred kindness over teenage creepiness). Guests at the Sausage Party, meanwhile, ended the weekend on a satisfying note.

Which of our characters offered you the most satisfying end-of-summer story?

Estimated Domestic Box Office Results:

  1. Don’t Breathe $19.4 million.
  2. Suicide Squad $13.6 million.
  3. Pete’s Dragon $8.9 million.
  4. Kubo and the Two Strings $8.7 million.
  5. Sausage Party 6.7 $million.
