Moana Meets the Christmas Party Crashers

Reigning champ Moana was still the queen of the cinematic sea, swimming profitably through the holiday season. An Office Christmas Party brought out the holiday spirit in the comedy lovers among us as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them remained on the hunt for a loyal, fantastic crowd (and Santa Clause). The imminent Arrival of the Man in Red had movie lovers wishing for an alienated but engaging movie nation while Doctor Strange remained in the house to cure those unavoidable holiday blues.
Christmas came crashing into movie theaters this weekend, Moana was still cruising, beasts were hard to beat, the doctor was in and aliens had us on the edge of our seats.
Which of our edge-of-your-seat stories made for one entertaining party for you this weekend?

Estimated Domestic Box Office Results:
1. Moana $18.8 million.
2. Office Christmas Party $17.5 million.
3. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them $10.8 million.
4 Arrival $5.2 million.
5. Doctor Strange $4.4 million.
