Aliens Invade the Movie Landscape

With crusaders, comediennes and car chasers cruising through our movie theaters last weekend, what will our cinematic landscape look like THIS weekend? Well, pretty much the same, with the exception, of course, of a few more foreign beings mixing it up in our imaginative landscape, as ALIEN: COVENANT hopes to sail off into one successful storytelling horizon. Here on earth, they’ll have to contend with champion GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL 2, who refuse to go gently into that good night (or their next otherworldly chapter). Striving (fruitlessly) not to be outdone, KING ARTHUR: (and his) LEGEND OF THE SWORD plan on telling the tallest tale, squashing THE BOSS BABY (who, naturally, has a much earlier bedtime). With no curfew to adhere to, or common sense, our favorite mother/daughter duo plan on staying up all night, still getting SNATCHED up by their own success while seizing every larger-than-life opportunity.
After seizing every movie opportunity (and then some) on their latest go around, perhaps THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS is to follow the road out of town as they gear up for their next adventurous road trip, knowing that EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING on that road to fame is relative.
Looking for a more family-friendly adventure, will audiences peeking through the DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: (find) THE LONG HAUL worth the short trip to their local movie theater?
Which of our worthwhile tales will have you hitting the movie trail this weekend?
