Death Happily has its Movie Day

It was a HAPPY DEATH DAY, indeed, at our neighborhood movie theaters this weekend, at least for the biggest audience, who seem to find joy in the dearly departed. Seeking a more lively form of entertainment, BLADE RUNNER 2049 was still on the fast track, outpacing the rest of the competition. Competing with no one, THE FOREIGNER felt right at home among the movie-loving locals.
IT continued to celebrate the deranged while THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US brought moviegoers together.
Posing as a united front, our favorite fall characters celebrated the dead in pure cinematic style, a sequel gave everyone a run for their money while Jackie Chan proved he’s still got that indefinable It! There was just no describing all the happiness and horror currently taking place on the big screen!
Could anything come between us and our make-believe world?

Estimated Domestic Box Office Results:
1. Happy Death Day $26.5 million.
2. Blade Runner 2049 $15.1 million.
3. The Foreigner $12.8 million.
4. It $6.1 million.
5. The Mountain Between Us $5.7 million.
