The House Beats the Horrors

Secrets, along with success, were uncovered this weekend at the movies within The House With A Clock in its Walls, whose occupants waved a family-friendly hello to the girls requesting A Simple Favor, which, while intriguing, was far from simple. Clearly not a simpleton, The Nun had us praying (in the most horrifying of ways) while The Predator continued to kill everyone else in his evil path. Everyone’s favorite Crazy Rich Asians were still around, mixing odd with all that aforementioned awfulness.
Simply put, this weekend at the movies was both horrifying and happy, with mysteries and make-believe making audiences take notice. We noticed that the holy among us could really use an actual religion class or two, killers come in all sizes and time really is relative (and really creative) in our imaginary universe.
Which of our killer tales was worth your time this weekend?

Estimated Domestic Box Office Results:
1. The House With A Clock in its Walls $26.9 million.
2. A Simple Favor $10.4 million.
3. The Nun $10.3 million.
4. The Predator $8.7 million.
5. Crazy Rich Asians $6.5 million.
