Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse traveled the farthest this weekend, cinematically speaking, finding his way to the top of the domestic box office while effectively setting the stage for The Mule, who, with Clint Eastwood in the driver’s seat, kept a respectable pace. Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch enjoyed a first-class view ahead of former champion Ralph Breaks the Internet, whose view was a bit less desirable (sending Ralph on his own cyberspace soul search). Bringing up the rear, Mortal Engines had a hard time catching up to its competitors.
It was an animated wonder-filled weekend at the movies, much to the delight of kids of all ages, adding to the magic of the most imaginative season.
