Avengers Annihilate

Avengers: Endgame came to play in a really big, record-breaking way (while heroically “killing” the competition) this weekend, beginning blockbuster season while ending (at least for now) the latest universal threat. Captain Marvel somehow maintained a place in our overcrowded heroic sphere, The Curse of La Llorona was a horrifying “blessing” and a Breakthrough of the movie kind miraculous occurred once again, discovering its faithful followers. Finally, Shazam! remained a faithful hero, albeit a much lesser one, to what was left of the hero-seeking crowd.
Marvel knew how to end the party for its competitors this weekend, shining the brightest light only the biggest stars can radiate. Being total gentlemen (and ladies), they graciously shared cinematic space with their fellow protagonists and more than a few antagonists, who all agreed, time spent at the movies guaranteed the ultimate game of entertainment.
Which of our sportingly good stories provided your weekend with the ultimate entertainment?
1 Avengers: Endgame $350 million.
2. Captain Marvel $8.1 million.
3. The Curse of La Llorona $7.5 million.
4. Breakthrough $6.3 million.
5. Shazam! $5.5 million
